This was my second time going to Cutlass this week! The first time was for lunch. I had the Stewed Chicken with Mac n cheese and cabbage. It was delicious. It was seasoned to perfection. It was the middle of the day in the summer so with the help of the Jamaican Cowboy and the music, I felt like I was at my favorite spot in Montego Bay. My second visit was Saturday night. We caught the end of happy hour so we could be there when the live music started. It turned out there was a guy playing R&B on the calypso. He is so talented. This visit I wanted to try the Red Snapper. There were about 4 different ways it could have been prepared but of course I chose stewed! It did not disappoint. I got mac n cheese and collard greens this time and ordered the charbroiled oysters for an app. What a vibe!!

This was our first time visiting Virginia. We wanted to try something different and I was very pleased with the service, the food was excellent. We got to enjoyed live music. The ambience and crew very pleasant.

Tuesday 8/13/2024 I came across this spot on a tik tok comment section and after looking through the menu and photos I was highly anticipating my visit. I came for a dine-in visit which automatically comes with an 18% service charge to the bill. I was with my family and we arrived during their 3-6 pm happy hour (HH) so I ended up trying plenty of different items. The service was okay and the food came out pretty quick. I had/tried the HH coconut shrimp $10, HH grouper tacos $11, HH hot wings $10, HH jerk lamb chops $12, HH jerk shrimp tacos $9, Rasta pasta $14.69, jerk chicken (white meat) with 1 side: plantains $15.99, curry goat with 2 sides: rice & peas and collard greens $24.39, carrot cake $9.39, mango bread pudding $10.39, and the plantain foster $10.69. - coconut shrimp: it was decent. - grouper tacos: it was average. - Hot wings: tasted like average Buffalo wings from your local pizza spot (nothing special). - Jerk lamb chops: these were GREAT and definitely my favorite of all the items I tried. Also the green sauce was a great addition. - Jerk shrimp tacos: it was average. - Rasta pasta: this was pretty good and had nice flavor to it. - Jerk chicken (white meat): it was alright but I've had plenty better. It was also a bit cold and the portions were much smaller than I expected based on the price tag. - Plantains: they're good but getting ONLY 5 pieces for a nearly $5 price is ridiculous. - Curry goat: it was decent but there was just too much bones and not enough goat. - Rice & peas: they were solid. - Collard greens: these were a huge disappointment, tasted very bland. - Carrot cake: it was okay but I didn't think it was worth it. - Mango bread pudding: easily the best of the 3 desserts I had and it was pretty solid. I think it would've been ALOT better with ice cream and a sauce that was more similar to the plantain foster. - Plantain foster: it's just 6 piecies of plantain in a sweet syrup type of sauce with 2 scoops of ice cream. It was solid but I was expecting it to come with a baked dessert of some sort but that's on me. - (Bonus) Mac n cheese: sampled some from my cousin and it was alright to me but he really enjoyed it. Overall, the food was very expensive for the portions you get and only a few of the items standout in terms of flavor and taste. My food expectations weren't met but it was alright. Also there was a card issue after splitting the bill which had to get itself sorted out with the owner 2 days later. If you're interested in trying this place out, I'd recommend you come for the happy hour or order takeout.

Such a fun vibe with great food. We ordered the brown stew chicken and jerk chicken entrees and everything was delicious. The Mac and cheese was the perfect texture and not too salty. I love the decor around the restaurant as well. The staff was super cool and attentive. I also like that they have happy hour most days from 3-6. The $6.50 drink specials were strong; we had a rum punch and negril sunset! I have no complaints here. A great place to hangout and get good food for a decent price.

I decided to come and try the place again. I didn't go on a crowded day, so I was able to finally try the jerk chicken. It was juicy and not dry at all. The rice and peas were fluffy and were covered with oxtail sauce and the Mac and cheese was better than the first time. Service was great. The waitress was very attentive. I wanted to try their mini beef patties, but they were all out for the past two days. Other than that, it was a pleasant experience.

The service was like family. The live music was like a family reunion. The food was like being back in Jamaica and made w love. Only sad thing was they ran out of chicken! the crab stuffed salmon was buttery good, the best cabbage I've had in my life, fresh bread, and my babe said the chops almost made his eyes role into the back of his head- I aint having that! Can't wait to be back!

We've been going here when they were on Battlefield Blvd. Food so good, we followed them to their new location on Eden Way. Last time we went, they had a live band and it was . And it was packed, super busy. Very friendly staff. Clean, which is a plus for me. That last star is always saved for cleanliness, and they get it. Actually, writing this review has got me craving their stew chicken and green beans. Imma have that for dinner tonight!

I recently had lunch at the Cutlass Grill and I had a great experience. The staff was friendly and helpful with menu questions and suggestions. The restaurant was clean and so were the bathrooms. I ordered the Jerk Chicken and I enjoyed it very much. Their prices are very reasonable for what is offered.

What a great experience! The atmosphere is eye catching and pleasing. Upon entering the smells of the food draws you in. The food is the focal point here for sure. Started with Mini Beef Patties that made you want more of them. They went fast! There were several menu items that had me tugging back in forth trying to decide. However, I already had a dish in mind before we got seated. Jerk Chicken and boy did they deliver the flavor! Sides were collard greens and plantains both were dynamite. I devoured it all. The only thing I really wanted was some kind of sauce made of the jerk spices. Since this was a dry rub no luck. I have had a wet version of jerk elsewhere and it was excellent. However that didn't stop my enjoyment. Service was friendly and attentive. I will be back soon. You should definitely check them out!
